Took a Little Trip

Henry and I took a little trip up to Spokane, Washington last week. We flew up on Thursday and flew back on Monday. Henry did great on the airplane. The flight was only an hour long, so there wasn't enough time to get bored or need to get out of our seats.

We went to Spokane to visit Henry's Grammy and Auntie Kath, and to see their new house. The weather was great while we were there. We fed the ducks (and geese and seagull-type birds) at the riverfront park downtown. There were SO many birds. They kept swarming around us and our bread, and the geese looked kind of evil. I was afraid they were going to attack Henry!

The park had a huge Radio Flyer wagon that you could climb on and slide down the handle. Henry wasn't too interested in sliding, but he and Grammy posed for a picture.

We took Henry to the Japanese Garden one day, and he LOVED throwing rocks into the water. He would have been happy to do that all day. It was a beautiful setting, and it was fun to let Henry play at a park where his Daddy and Aunties played as children.

I really like this picture of Lannie and Kathleen!

We had a fun barbecue one of the evenings while we were there. We got to spend time with Lannie's friends, Midge and Julie, and we got to meet Kathleen's friend, Linda, and her family: Kevin, Olivia, and Sam. We had some delicious barbecue food, and enjoyed relaxing and hanging out on the nice patio.

The Kids' Table was the place to be! Henry claimed TWO chairs, though, and spent the whole time hopping back and forth between the two chairs.

Yummy ice cream!

We had a really great visit! We had lots of fun spending time with Grammy and Auntie Kath, and it was nice for me to have a little "down time" from Henry. Kathleen and I went out for a manicure and pedicure one day, and we went to a movie another day. Fun! Too bad Spokane isn't closer!

It was so much fun to have you two here! I miss hearing Hen's little voice talking his stream of consciousness patter: "Daddy has to go to Grammy's house."

And while bouncing on Kath's bed: "I love your new bed!" "Sing little monkeys jumpin' on the bed."

I'm sure Bassey misses him too!! Hisssssss
